Prodigy Arts Coalition
PURPOSE:
An education based arts organization.
MISSION:
To create and provide education, opportunity, and support to students,
interns and colleagues of all ages nurturing imagination and a life-long
appreciation for the arts.
OBJECTIVES:
-
Create an Arts Center, Set & Design Center, Sound Stage, Amphitheater
and Black-Box Theatre.
- Create
operating income that exceeds expenses for each building.

Create a comfortable, nurturing Arts environment.

Create educational Arts programming.
-
End the first fiscal year with a $25,000 reserve.
-
End each fiscal year of operation in the black.

STRATEGIES:

Establish an expanded (8 member) advisory board that can help
guide in the growth of PAC.

Establish at least 4 Arts Alliances with other community and regional
arts groups.

Establish a central location for all programming to help increase
attendance and participation.

Establish intern, apprentice and volunteer programs.
-
Establish scholarship programs for low-income students.
- Obtain
federal, local, state and other grant monies to help facilitate
all Arts Park projects.

Increase public awareness by providing local and regional media
with success stories.
PROGRAMMING:

Initiate classes in performing arts, mural painting, technical
theatre and technical design.

Initiate a workshop and seminar program.

Initiate an after school program that provides Arts programming.

Initiate a main-stage season.

Initiate a rental season for other Arts organizations.

William R. Stafford
William
comes from a long standing family business, Sadie’s of
New Mexico. Holding the position of General Manager at Sadie’s
from 1984 to 1995, William left the family business to pursue his
performing arts career. In addition to over 40 film and theatre
productions, William spent 1995 to 2000 in the San Francisco Bay
area holding positions at the Willows Theatre Company (Business
Director, resident Stage Manager), San Jose Stage (AEA Stage Manager),
American Conservatory Theatre, (Stage Manager). 2001 found William
holding a position with Norwegian Cruise Lines as the Company Entertainment
Manager for Jean Ann Ryan productions. Since 2001, William has dedicated
his time and effort to building up Prodigy Arts Coalition in the
Albuquerque area and beyond, holding Positions with Southwest Repertory
Theatre (Director of Education) and the Bosque School (Drama Teacher).
Currently holding the position of President of Prodigy Arts Coalition,
William is working on over 20 years of theatre and film credits
with 2 years of Voice and Acting at UNM (1984-1986). One of William’s
life long goals has been to encourage people young and younger to
“Believe in their dreams”

direction; with skills in woodworking, scene painting (brush &
air), faux finishes, foam sculpting, mold casting, masks, prop
artistry, furniture restoration & replication, welding (wire
fed), sewing (industrial & costume), rigging, etc.
- Computer
skills including (but not limited to): typing, Windows, Word,
Publisher, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, AutoCAD, etc.
